Can I hide my website?

  I would like to create a website which is for a sensitive piece of research I am conducting. However I cannot put up the website until I have ethical approval for the research. Is there a way that I can put together the blog completely but then hide it from all users? I realise this is the opposite of what most people want to do!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> visible to only those I choose – remember to save changes

  that keeps everyone out unless they are invited

  You can set the site to Private, then when you’re ready change, it to Public viewing.

  Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Scroll down to “Site Visibility”
  Choose, “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose,” and Save changes are the bottom of the page.
