Can I hide post metadata in Almost Spring?
-
I’m looking at the Almost Spring theme because its archive template meets my needs. But I also need to suppress the display of author and date under the post heading. I’ve been able to do this with other themes, but this one has me baffled. Any suggestions? Thanks! (There’s no blog yet to point to, sorry.)

As rosclarke commented, you would need the CSS upgrade.
With that, you can locate the elements you want to hide, and style them not to appear, for example by adding something like:
.someclass { display: none; }
firebug can help you find the appropriate elements and their tags, and experiment with hiding them:

If for some reason you are hoping to make the information secret, this is insufficient, as it will still appear in the html if some user cares to “view source”.
Hope that helps.

Yes, thanks. I finally found the division I needed. I can usually find the elements I want with the web developer add-in, but this theme is very different than anything I’ve worked with before. I have a few more things to tweak, so thanks for the tip re: Firebug- I’ll try that!
