Can I hide the sidebar on a specific page?

  I want to hide the sidebar in a specific page, is it possible or is theme-related? Is there some (benefic) hack to hide it? I’ve tried leaving a open div with display:none in the end of the page, but the results were not these i’ve expected.

  Some themes put it only on the front page but changing the underlying theme is beyond the scope of css, which is style, not function.
