can I import all past posts from another non-WordPress blog?
-
I’d like to upload to my new, as yet un-tried, WordPress blog many of my past posts and images from another blogging platform (Blogger). Can I do this, retaining the dates that are on these old posts, and store them in my WordPress archives so that visitors can look them up?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, you can. :)
Be sure to read this first please. > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/See here for exporting instructions > scroll down to “Exporting Your blog”

Also be sure you enable this before importing into your wordpress.com blog:
Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.” -
Another important fact is that creating duplicate content will result in the original site the material was published on coming under Google’s penalty radar. Spider bots are programmed to spot duplicated content. http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66359
If you want to provide public access to those published posts then you have to make a choice and make one blog “private”. WordPress.com Staff advise that if you create a duplicate content blog here you make the visibility of the blog “private”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
