Can I include multiple photos in a post within the Gallery theme?

I’m not really having a problem as such, but occasionally want to include more than one photo in a post. I bought into the Gallery theme and I’m wondering if I can use more than one image per post, making a sort of narrated photo essay.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/In addition to adding a gallery to your site, you can also add several individual images within the text of a post or a page.
