Can I insert and play videos uploaded to media library in posts?

  The post and page editing menus include media icons which allow photos to be added. There’s also a button for uploading videos, but once a video has been uploaded how can it be played from within a post – I can’t see a way of doing this. Adding Youtube videos is easy enough, but is there a player for videos in the media library? If so, I’d be very grateful for any help with how to use it. If not, what is the point of enabling users to upload videos?
