Can I install a code for an outside news feed widget into my sidebar?

  I have a code for a news feed widget from an outside source. Do I have the option of installing this widget via coding so that it appears in the sidebar of my basic site? If so, what is the easiest way to accomplish this for someone like myself, who is anything but a computer programmer?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there. The only way to add an outside widget is by pasting the code into a text widget: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/create-your-own-widget/

  However, live feeds use either iframe or JavaScript code, neither of which is allowed on WordPress.com, so it won’t work here.
