Can I install a plugin without installing a custom domain?

  I have a wordpress business plan. I can install plugins, but wp requires me to add a custom domain. However, I run wp through an apache proxy on my web server. This is because I don’t want to transfer my domain to wp because I run my own mail server and other servers under the same domain.

  Of course I can add a custom domain, randomly chosen, to my wp account, but that would probably require reconfiguring my appache proxy.

  I’d like to just install the plugin on the site as it is.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Actually, what I’d like to know if my wp site will still be available under christinenl.wordpress.com after I install a “free custom domain”?

  Never mind. I won’t use the plugin.
