Can I keep My first post at the #1 post position.

  I am new to wordpress and have posted 2 posts on my blog, the first post was a welcome to everyone post
  and I would like it to stay at the #1 post position, is this possible and it it is how do I do it.

  You just set it as Sticky in the option bar on the right-hand side of the Edit Post page. But you will annoy readers who keep seeing it, if it’s more than a couple of lines long.
