Can I limit “comments” to registered authors, editors and administrators?

  Is there a way for me to limit who can comment on my blog to authors, editors and administrators who are registered on my site?

  I’d like others to be able to READ my blog, if they wish, but I’d like to limit “comments” to those in my community of people registered on my blog.

  I’m trying to avoid having to APPROVE a first comment from everyone who is already a registered author, editor and administrator. But maybe that’s the only way it can be done. Thanks, Frank

  i think what you’re trying to avoid is indeed the only method of doing this. You might want to consider taking your blog private, though, if this is a major concern.
