Can I limit what contributors/authors see?

  Hi. I use my blog to teach. My students post their homework in the blog as replies to my post where the homework is listed. I do not want them to see each other’s posts until I approve them as the administrator. I had them as authors and one of my students informed me that they could see all the other comments from their fellow students in their dashboard. So, now I changed them to contributors, but I don’t know if this solved the problem. How do I limit my students access so they can only see their own and write comments to my posts, but not see other comments unless the comments have been approved by me as the administrator?

  Hello!

  If you just want your students to read and reply, I would suggest changing all your students to “followers”. It appears the user role support documentation is a tad nebulous when it comes the exact nuances of the roles.
