Can I link my first dummy blog with my paid blog

G’day! When I first staring blogging, I set up an initial blog under
http://mickeydownunder.wordpress.com/I then purchased a domain and set up another blog which is now my “real” blog.
In hindsight, I guess I should have just updated or upgraded the first one.
As the first one is empty (per se), is there anyway I can update it with information to redirect people to the real blog site which is http://www.whatsonthelist.net
What information would you suggest I put on the first dummy blog or is there a coding that would auto transfer people directly to the real blog.
I hope I am making sense.
Seeing I cannot delete the dummy blog without losing everything on my real blog, I need other options

You can indeed cancel your original blog without it affecting your newer blog. You can do so by following the instructions here:
Keep in mind however that such deletions are permanent and cannot be undone. Also remember that if that blog is empty, it really is doing no harm or good. You can just create a static page on the front that directs visitors to visit your new site. You can create a static page by following these instructions:

Due to health and memory, I must have asked a similar question before; probably hence my apprehension to delete the initial blog
Here was the reply.
Does this change about having the first blog affect the second blog at all?
I would have to delete everything I have done to date

OK, what you asked previously is a different question.
When you ask about two different blogs:
mickeydownunder.wordpress.com and whatsonthelist.wordpress.com
Either of these blogs can be deleted without the other one being affected.
The other thread which you referenced seems to be talking about your domain mapping, wherein whatsonthelist.net points to whatsonthelist.wordpress.com. In that case, both URLs point to the same site. You cannot delete either of those.
