Can I link my wix domain to wordpress?

    How to i map my wix domain to wordpress?
    I have already purchased a wix domain, and on their site says when you want to point ot an external provider, you are emailed a “transfer code” to give them…but I dont see on wordpress any reference to accepting a transfer code?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#transferring-a-domain-to-wordpress-com The option is to purchase an upgrade to map an existing domain. You need to point your nameservers at wix to wordpress.com. See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

    Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

    Please note that @timethief is correct. All you need to do is update your nameservers to ours:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    and then purchase the domain mapping upgrade. Please view the support guide links above for specific instructions.
