Can I link to my Patreon page in my sidebar, footer, and blog posts?
-
Hi.. I noticed a few blogs that link to their Patreon pages, and I’m wondering if I can do this too..
I haven’t yet signed up for Patreon; I want to know first if there would be any problem if I create my own Patreon page and link to it in my sidebar, footer, and blog posts.
My blog is still new, and I don’t have yet the budget to upgrade to any of the paid plans.
I just think that it’s a good idea to have my own Patreon page ready before I do networking to increase my number of followers.
My blog is:

Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, you shouldn’t have any problem linking to your Patreon page as long as your content adheres to the WordPress.com Terms of Service and user guidelines.
You won’t be able to use Patreon’s plugin on your free site, and I don’t know what options Patreon has for widgets, but we do have some code restrictions in place here on WordPress.com, so anything using a “script” tag will be stripped out. A simple HTML link widget or an image widget might do the trick.

Thank you very much! This is very good news.
Simple links to my Patreon page are enough for me.
