Can I link to the Amazon affiliates program if I host my blog on my website?

I’m in the process of redesigning my website, and would like to somehow embed my wordpress blog directly into my site (I have to check but I’m guessing that will involve hosting the blog on my server). I’d also like to set up a “reading list” with links to the Amazon.com affiliates program. I understand that is not allowed on a normal WordPress blog. However, if I’m hosting the blog on my site then is it ok? And if so, how would I go about it?
I’d be grateful for any advice.

if you have a self-hosted blog, you have to go to http://wordpress.org/support to place your query. this forum is only for technical support for wp.com blogs.

The answer to your question is Yes. If you host your blog yourself, you can include whatever affiliate or ad links you want. And, as Sulz says, wordpress.org is the wordpress site that’s relevant to self-hosted blogs.

How do you host your blog in your own host??? I’m looking to do that and don’t know how. I’ve just start it here in wordpress, and then thinking on making a redirection to it…. but I think that what I really need is to get it on my own host to….what should I do???

Redirection won’t work at WP.com. You will need to get the instructions for a WP blog independently hosted from wordpress.org.

delphinusblog, if you have no idea how to host your own site, then don’t do it until you know for sure how to. I would host my own site if I knew how but I’m not tech smart.
