Can I make a link from a section of one post to a section of another post.

What I want to do may not exist but I thought it was worth asking for help. I’m publishing a book and as the page numbers have been stripped from the document I am trying to make it navigable so that people can find where they are up to. I don’t think there are any options for pagination or bookmarking of a post so I thought I might be able to make a link from my contents page to subsections within another post. I’ve used the Heading 3 for subsections and in Word this creates a table of contents but I don’t think this capacity is enabled in WordPress. Do you have any suggestions for making a post more easily navigable. I’ve used the menu on the header to go to the Chapters, which I posted as separate posts, but I’d like my readers to be able to return to a specific part of a post or one of the subsections.

Thanks so much. I’ll give them a try. I am a carer and I have poor eyesight so it takes me a while to get things done but this looks like it could be the solution to my problem.
