Can I make my blog private and then switch it to public?

  Can I make my blog private and then switch it to public so I can control who is subscribing to my blog based on my existing subscription list? Right now it’s on a public view.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes you can change privacy setting but trolls are persistent. And as soon as you make it public again anyone can subscribe again, so what’s the point?

  so once i transfer from private to public will my existing ‘invited subscribers’ automatically follow me?
