Can i make only some of my blogs appear on the home page?

  This must be very confusing but I’m new with using wordpress..

  Okay, I want to have blogs with stuff that my friends can read and see whats happening with me lately, and I want these to be shown on the homepage when they open my wordpress site.

  But I also want to have pages where I can post photos of my friends and talk about them, although i dont want this stuff to be on the homepage i want you to have to click a link to ‘Friends’ (maybe a new page or catagory) to see these topics. But I just don’t want them shown on the homepage.
  This is fine to make a new page and have this infomation only showing there, BUT i can’t insert pictures there from flickr…..and i want photos shown on these different pages (with the friends stuff) not on my homepage.

  So if any of that made any sense and you have any idea how to help me, please reply!

  Honest answer here. It sounds like you don’t want a blog but a CMS like Drupal. You might want to check that out, especially since you can tell the system what to display on the home page. It’s a royal pain but it’ll do what you want.

  i have become a member of drupal, although i’m still confused of what it is and what it does and how to use it….
