can I make slide shows from images that are already in my media library?

  I would like to put a slide show on my main page with all the images in the media library. I also would like to move images from page to page without downloading again. Can I make new galleries from existing media libraries?

  Unfortunately, galleries and slideshows are specific to images attached to the post they’re displayed on, so you would need to upload them again via the post.

  Thanks for the quick response! It would be a nice feature if in the future we could assign images to different galleries.
