Can I manually set/edit post dates?

  I understand that typically most people want posts to just pick up the posting date automatically and display it. Simple, no fuss, no effort, it works.

  I would like to be able to manually set the dates for posts.
  

  (I have found an option in my Theme to Display/Not Display post dates, but I’d prefer to be able to explicitly enter/adjust/edit post dates).

  Is this possible?
