Can I map a domain to a Personal Plan?

    I received bad advice that I needed to buy a domain before using WordPress to build my site. I bought a domain on GoDaddy separately, then went to WordPress and discovered I still need to pay a plan (couldn’t connect it to a free plan). There is an option for a Personal Plan ($3.99/month) which I’d like to use; however WordPress keeps trying to make me purchase a Premium Plan ($10.75/month) along with my domain mapping. Does this mean I can only map my domain if I pay the Premium Plan? I really want to use Personal as this is a small site and I don’t have much money at all. Please let me know if I can check out with the Personal Plan + connect my separate domain name, and NOT end up being charged $10.75/month.

    Hi there, purchase the Personal plan first and then add your custom domain.

    All plans are charged a year at checkout. There is no monthly payment available.
