can i map to my blog to a sub domain and still edit in wordpress

I have created a blog here in wordpress for a friend, but they do not want it to say wordpress in the address. What is the best way to do this so I can still purchase a theme they want? TIA :)

I have mapped it to the above address, but now I don’t have access to all the options I did when it was on wordpress as queenslandtrials.wordpress.com.au OMG!!!! I am going nutso
