Can I migrate old wordpress.com site stats to new .org install
-
Hi
I have migrated my wordpress.com blog to self-hosted .org with jetpack connected.
Comments and followers have moved across but not the historical site stats. Can these be moved across also?
Most (but not all) of my Post IDs match on both sites for the same posts.
(this was because most posts were through the export > import plug-in but some others I had to create again form scratch, so Post ID is different in about 18 posts out of 144).hope that makes sense, thanks

Staff can do this for you provided you install the Jetpack plugin and activate it and provide the relevant URLs. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. I can help you with that!
However, please note that stats migration will only work perfectly if your post ID’s match between your WordPress.com site and your new self hosted site. If the IDs do not match, a single post will end up as two different posts in your stats. One will be the stats for the old ID and one the new. The stats cannot be combined unless the IDs are the same.
As most of your post ID’s match, this may not be an issue for you.
Please confirm that you understand this.

Hi rootjosh,
I confirm that I understand that stats won’t match where post IDs don’t match. The url for the old .com site is https://halfwayhike.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
and the new site is under halfwayhike.com (halfwayhike.com/wp-admin/)
Thanks for your help.
