Can I modify the publish date/time for a post?

  I am using Modularity Lite theme, the theme has a slide show, images will be extracted from the most recent post.

  I want to use a welcome post (slide post) with images put into a slide, however, that also means whenever I write a new post, the new post will be displayed above the slides post.

  I tried to modify the publish date/time of the slide post and hoping it will stay on top, it didn’t work.

  Does anyone know how to do this? or it is mission impossible?

  Turn it into a sticky post, but the BEST thing to do is put it into a widget in your sidebar and it will never move.
