can I move a blog?

  I am wanting to start a blog, that I will eventually run from my website. My website is having changes made to it soon, and I will then want a personal address but for now could I just have a .wordpress one? and then change it to a personal one later? or would I have to redo the blog?

  Whilst you are here on wordpress.com, yes. Once/If you move your blog to your own server it won’t be.

  I meant if I carry on with wordpress but just change the name to mydomain.com instead of wordpress.com
  Sorry if I am being confusing! just keen to start a blog, and want to make sure it will move easily when my web changes are ready for the blog section

  Once you use your own domain you can take it whereever you want, yes.
