Can I move a .com blog to. org for affiliate purposes and use a .com domain?
-
I started a blog to earn a living from through affiliate and advertising marketing. However, I took out a .com instead of a .org blog. Now I would like to transfer the blog to a dot org.
Sometime ago I also bought a domain name at http://www.123-reg.com to host the blog but I am not sure if I did the right thing. The name ofthe domain is http://www.weightchangerswordpress.com
Can I transfer my http://www.weightchangers.wordpress.com blog to a .org for affiliate and advertising purposes and use a hosting name from 123-reg.com which goes like this http://www.weightchangerswordpress.com?
Will this transfered blog still remain with WordPress?

If you’re interested, we do offer an upgrade called Guided Transfer (available in the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard) where we take care of everything for you: http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
Otherwise, you’ll need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on a hosting provider. We have some recommendations at http://get.wp.com/hosting/
Then, just direct your domain to your new hosting provider. Your registrar can help you with this.
Once that’s done, you can move your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
