Can I move a self-hosted WordPress blog to WordPress.com?
-
My 2000+ post, 10-year-old self-hosted WordPress blog is painfully slow — even with just about every plugin turned off. I’m using a properly modified (via Child theme files) version of Twenty-Eleven. I’m using one of the hosts Automattic recommends and am getting no satisfaction. Can I move the blog to WordPress.com? How?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The answer is yes. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-from-wordpress-org
If you would like to use your domain name purchased elsewhere and map from your free hosted wordpress.com blog to it, then you will first need to set up domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
