Can I move archives from a 1and1 website to my wordpress blog?

  I want to move archives from a hosted website to my blog. Is it possible to do that and keep the original date of the post when I move it?

  Thanks for responding, but I am trying to move stories from a website of mine to a blog and get rid of the website. I am willing to repost them one at a time, but I would like to be able to keep the date of the story the original date. Is that somehow possible?

  Sure, you can adjust the publish date for each post via the Publish box to the right when writing or editing a post.
