Can I move content of one blog to another blog?

    I’ve developed a blog using content of a person’s website I’m working with. She will be setting up an account and starting a blog here at WordPress.com (with several extras). Is there a simple way to move the contents of my blog (and its associated posts and pages) to that new blog?

    The solution I see is to individually edit in each of the 150 or so posts and pages, thus replicating all the content (and effort) by hand. I can do this, I’m used to long tedious tasks. However if there is a way to transfer all the content of my blog to her blog in a more automated fashion, I’d be really happy. Also, I’d be able to have her web presence back up more quickly because a manual recreation will take some time.

    If anyone has some thoughts or information on how I might accomplish this, I’d be forever grateful if you’d share it. I do promise to pass the assistance on in the future, that is the way I do things. (That’s precisely what I’m doing now in helping move this website).

    NO, there are readily identifiable separate issues in the two posts. I posted them separately because:

    1. There are separate issues addressed in the two posts.
    2. Answers to one issue won’t pertain to the other issue.
    3. If I put the issues together in one post then one issue might be overseen (neglected).
    4. I’m seeking answers to both (separate) issues.

    Why would you not simply do a standard Import?

    raincoaster, that is exactly what I want to do, thanks. When I read through that section I was thinking of moving content from another platform which was not among those supported. I neglected to notice that the import function discussed moving content from WordPress.com blog. Your pointer had me take another look. I see it now.

    Great, glad you got it. I wasn’t understanding the difficulty, but sometimes the documentation isn’t that clearly written. This should be pretty much effortless.
