Can I move one post with comments?

  I want to move one post with its comments from one wp.com blog to another one. The “manage” tab only gives me an option to move all of the contents of the blog.

  A one post and comments move is a cut and paste job. There is no automatic transfer option. There are also threads in the forum search box if you need more guidance on how to move the comments. :)

  Do an export out off your blog and save the file. Each post is contained within item tags. Just delete the other posts and import it into your new blog.

  What a good idea! I didn’t look at the blog and assumed it had hundreds of posts and comments. But in this case she only has one post with 18 comments.

  Well, actually if it’s just one post, there’s no deleteing involved. Just export it out at Dashboard -> Manage -> Export and import the whole file at your new blog via Dashboard -> Manage -> Import -> WordPress.

  Thanks! I imported the entire blog through the Manage tab in the end. There were fewer than 50 entries altogether, so it wasn’t too hard to delete all but the 1 post with the 18 comments that you see now.
