Can I not add new posts to pages or am I just a dummy?
-
I’ve had this blog for a while but I’m still rather new to this whole thing. I started my page as just an artist blog but later decided that my writing was an extension of my art. I wanted to create a writing page and post new work periodically but I can’t seem how to figure out how to create a new post and have it show up under my writing page. I can get new posts to show up on the home page but that’s not where I want them. I want to organize my posts under the pages I’ve created and not have them all squished on my home page. Heck, I wish I could just eliminate the home page all together but I’m not even sure if that’s possible. I’ve been through support and the other forums on the topic but I still just can’t figure it out. I’m not a complete idiot when it comes to computers or anything but I guess I’m just not experienced enough with wordpress to make sense of it all. I’d really appreciate it if somebody could walk me through this and help me understand this all a bit better.

I can help but I am having the opposite problem. I have a home page and can’t figure out how to get my posts to appear the main part of it. Instead I have their titles on the side bar and the main panel is blank. I can’t figure out how to put a graphic there either because I don’t see anything that refers to the homepage when I go to the dashboard.

@meganmarydith: You don’t do it by adding pages, you do it by filing each post under the right category, and then you add those categories to a custom menu you’ll create.
