  I just bought a theme in a zip format. How can I install this? Where do I go to install themes?

  Was it allowed before because i’m watching all these youtube videos showing how to install themes and there is a upload or install themes option on the top of the page?

  The videos you were watching referred to WordPress.ORG sites. .ORG and .COM are two different platforms and operate with different software.

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  You CANNOT install a third-party theme, nor can you install any plug-ins. Neither is allowed.
