Can I offer free PDF downloads from my blog? Using a link to Dropsend or similar

  I want to introduce short stories with an extract on my blog and then offer the opportunity to download the whole story. Is this possible?

  I uploaded a pdf but was unable to insert it in the post – it just inserted the name of the pdf in text but no pdf?
