Can I opt OUT of the new editor?
-
I’m making my first post but found something minorly annoying – I foolishly clicked the “Switch to the improved posting experience.” and now, whenever I click the Writing icon in the top right of the blog, it comes up with the new editor, the one with the blue background. Is there a way I can make it use the editor that’s “nestled” in the classic dashboard instead? I’ve looked in settings and can’t find anything. I’m also wondering why there is a “p” near where it says “word count” in the classic editor.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes you can use the classic editor found in your Dashboard. Go to > Dashboard > Posts > Add New and use that link.
http://avarietyofhelp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpThe ‘p” is actually one line above the word count in the classic editor.

So there’s no option for it? I wish I never clicked that link in the first place… I just tried https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirector/ and so far it works. I could do it with the HOSTS file too I guess.

So there’s no option for it?
You can avoid the new editor entirely. To log in directly to your classic dashboard you may try https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php, which I’ve been using without fail for years, though others have claimed it takes them to the reader. Another option is http://wordpress.com/wp-admin, which will also take you to the classic dash, but it involves an unnecessarily long URL redirect.
You might also want to add handy bookmarks to the log in page, dashboard, classic stats page, and any other pages you expect to visit often.
Was there also a classic Reader?
There were earlier versions, but they aren’t available now.
