Can i place google ads on wordpress?

hi guys……i would like to know whether i can place my google ads on my wordpress page..i.e. bratsbackyard.wordpress.com ……..i would like to know how to place those ads if possible…..thank u……..cheers!

2. Please read the TOS, particularly:
the Content is not spam, and does not contain unethical or unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites or boost the search engine rankings of third party sites, or to further unlawful acts (such as phishing) or mislead recipients as to the source of the material (such as spoofing);
Its even highlighted in the TOS. I don’t understand how people miss it..

Yes, having your own webhost and install of the software from .org would allow you to have ads, just don’t expect to get rich. Perhaps a reasonably priced lunch or a designer coffee and a scone per month – if you get lots of hits. Google is the one that makes the money, and most using adsense get the crumbs.
WordPress.com has indicated that advertising will be allowed (see my previous post) in the future as a paid upgrade, but there is no word on when that will come to pass.
