    Hi there,

You have some different options for posting a static message like that on your blog. Here are a few ideas:

    1. You can add the text in a blockquote on your front page, using the quote button in the Visual Editor. That will make the text stand apart from the rest of the text on your front page. We have additional tips for styling the text on posts and pages to make it stand out here: Styling Individual Posts and Pages

    2. You can change the Page Template on your front page, to use your theme’s Sidebar Template. That will add a sidebar to your front page. There, you can add a Text Widget with your message.

Your blog page at http://thehandsomegarden.net/the-tribulation-of-self-publication-2/ already has a sidebar, so if you want the message to appear on that page you can add a text widget to have it appear there.

    3. You can create a sticky post on your blog, and add your message in that post. By making the post sticky, it will also appear first in your list of blog posts. That will make sure that visitors to your blog see it.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
