can I give posts a different date than when posted?
Hello, I am just starting to use WordPress to blog, previously I simply posted on my website, http://www.yachtkate.com, directly. Can I move all the previous info to my blog and change the dates of the posts so that they appear in the archives in the chronological order they were written in?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
Yeah, you can do that :)
Go into a Post Editor screen and mind the Publish box on the right. Look for the line that says “Publish immediately” (or “Published on …”) and mind the Edit link right next to it.
If you click that, you’ll be able to change the post publication date, or even program posts to be published in the future, take a look here:

THANKS! So easy, now to begin the copy and paste of the last six years of my life, haha.

Are you trying to bring your content from a previous blog? We have many importers :-)

No, a website that I post. Easier to copy and paste I think, although time consuming. But thanks for the suggestion.
