Can I "publish" a page, yet still have it be private?

For the purposes of designing and building my WordPress site, I would like to be able to move my static page from being a “draft” to being “published,” so I can see how different themes look on it, and so I can let other stakeholders see how the work is progressing.

BUT I do not want my content to be publicly viewable or indexed by Google’s spiders just yet. I don’t want my site to “go live” before I’m sure all the content is just how it needs to be.

So, is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You betcha, you can apply setting in the WordPress dashboard to make your website visable by others but not searchable by Google by doing this:

    ~Login to WordPress.com
    ~load up your WordPress dashboard
~in the left sidebar of the dashboard, navigate to Settings > Reading
~select the radio button to “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”
    ~DONE!
