Can I put a link that has image AND text?
-
Hi, I am using the Dusk theme and I’m trying to add a link.
When adding the link, there are places for text, and also for an image address.
but it seems like I can ONLY use one or the other!! For example, if I put in an image address, whatever text I have inserted goes away, and only the image itself shows up on my page. If I get rid of the image, then the text shows up fine. I have put both up so you can see what I mean. My blog is:
weightofsilence.wordpress.com
If you scroll down the page, you’ll see the section that I titled “Find Me On”
Under that, the first one I have is my facebook link. I left out the image address and only typed text, which you can see.
The second one is the myspace link. On this link, I put in both TEXT (myspace) and ALSO an image URL. As you can see, ONLY the image is showing up, the text doesn’t.??? this doesn’t make any sense! is there any way I can include both the text AND the image??
thanks,
Shelley -
Yup. Use the html editor and make sure that the code for the link is outside both the text and the image.
<a href="URL HERE">text text text <IMAGE CODE> more text if you like </a> -
Oh, I see, you’re in the sidebar. The best way to achieve what you want is to use a text widget rather than the Blogroll function. Write the code as I showed you in my previous comment, inside a text widget, and that should give you what you want.
