  I want to start a blog for people visiting my business website which is already wel established. can i put a link from my website to the new account I have just made here? Sorry to sound thick but im new to all this blog stuff and dont understand any of the lingo!

  Yes, you can certainly link from your corporate website to your WP.com blog.
