  Is it possible to access the code of my blog’s index page so I can toss a bit of Javascript in there? Given that this place refuses to allow Javascipt-based hit counters for whatever sad reason, I think I already know the answer.

  On top of having the code restrictions, we cannot edit the theme underlying PHP script files here.
