Can I put Amazon affiliate link on sidebar?

    I have read your Affiliates links and advertising policies and related discussion forums and am still unclear. I have joined Amazon Affiliates to monetize my website. If I understand it correctly, I am allowed to insert Amazon product links into the text of my WordPress.com blog posts only, and NOT anywhere on my webpage itself or sidebar? How would it be possible to include such links on the sidebar?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    While most affiliate links and sponsored posts are allowed on WordPress.com, we do not allow image ads or third-party advertising networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media.
