Can I Re-Arrange Home Page 'Tabs' ?

    I’m talking about the titles of the site pages that are listed across the width of the home page. Listed on our site is “Home, 2018 Calendar,’ ….etc… to Contact, and Blog.

    Can I change the position of any of those page titles? If so, how?

    Hi SRS,

    Those are your menu items and you can arrange them on the Customize screen.

    Go to Customize > Menus > Main Menu (or the name of your menu) and click the Reorder button. Then, click on the arrow buttons to reorder the sequence of the menu items.

    Thanks for the response reginabally! I thought there must have been an easy way to do this.

    Now ‘this’ is kind of interesting…. hmmmm… I created a new menu ‘site page’ and published it. But it’s ‘title’ (SRS MEMBERSHIP USING PAYPAL) is NOT showing up in either the Primary or Custom Menu 1 – the 2 menus I have listed in the menu tab … hmmm….. curious indeed.

    That title is showing up on the site and when you select it,you are directed to that site page…. but it’s not listed in the Customizing – Menus location.

    Thanks for reminding me that I could contact staff and providing me the link! I forget so much from time to time when I get back into editing our site – its NOT my primary or secondary language…. computer stuff… but I grind away at it and will get this figured out.

    I’ll see if any staff sees this (I’ll give them a couple of days)and see if they can suggest anything. Otherwise I’ll contact then in due time.

    Thanks again for your response. I’m sure your advice woudl work if I could see the page listed in the customizer.

    Hi again,

    If you intend to use the new menu as the primary menu, make sure you selected the Primary Menu option at the Customize > Menus > Site Pages (or the name of your menu), under Menu Location.

    Let me know if that works.

    To get staff’s attention to your post here in the forum, you can actually add a modlook tag at the right side of this screen under the Tags section. That will put your post into a special queue for the staff look into them in priority. :)

    Hello (again)
    I only have 2 menus listed in the customizer. A ‘Primary’ and aCustom1.

      Neither one has the site page ‘SRS Membership Online’ listed

    . But that page IS showing up on the site. I’d like to change the order/position of it as it listed with the other menu titles – the original intent of this thread.

    But I am realizing that I need to see it(that menu title/site page) listed in at least one of those menu titles in the customizer to do this.

    Hey reginabally –

    I think I got an auto reply from WP and that helped a bit too. ‘Ash’ explained that since I did NOT have either CUSTOM1 or Primary selected as my primary menu – that all the site page created show up in the ‘menu-bar’.

    OK….so I made one or the other the primary menu and still NO new ‘SRS Mem… online’ showed up. BUT… BUT..a light bulb went off! I made the CUSTOM1 menu primary and THEN,….. ADDED… a page…3 guesses which page I added!

    OK.. maybe only ONE guess as I think you are probably pretty sharp at this stuff…. the ‘SRS Membership Online’ page of course!

    Once it was listed with the other pages…I scooted that baby up into place where I wanted it like YOU said I could.

    All is well and I’ll mark this resolved…. YOUR help was much appreciated! Thank you so much …..’again’ :)
