Can I remove a follower and block further contact?

Is it possible to block an offensive follower? My most recent follower, carinoragno, is horribly offensive (violent pictures of torture) and I would like to remove their follow and block all further contact. Thanks, Julie

Hi there. It’s not possible to remove followers, nor to prevent anyone from following a public blog.
You can prevent this person from commenting on your blog. Under Settings ->Discussion, look for the comment blacklist section. Add his username, email address and blog URL, each on their own line. Don’t add his IP address, though. IP addresses are no longer unique, and you might end up blocking other people as well by mistake. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
If that follower’s blog is on WordPress.com, and they’re posting images containing graphic violence, it might also be against the terms of service, or at the very least require the blog to me marked as mature.
