Can I remove “Blog at WordPress.com.”?

  I would happily pay to remove these from the footer:

  “Blog at WordPress.com.”
  Theme details

  Is this possible? I appreciate I can upgrade and remove ads, but I need a clean slate.

  This is pre-requisite to my company using WordPress.com. (I know WordPress.org is available and more cusomtisable, but our web developers dont fancy the hosting and maintenance).

  If you have the paid CSS upgrade you can set up the theme stylesheet not to display the footer, but it’s considered very poor netiquette. After all, WordPress.com IS providing you with a free hosting service. Just saying.

  If this is a deal breaker for you, then you should definitely self-host using the WordPress.ORG software.
