Can I remove gray bar under header in Sela?
-
I have a Personal ($4/mo) WordPress.com account. I’m building my site in Sela. On my front page–and nowhere else–there’s a gray bar under the header menu which has my site name and the date in small white type. Can I get rid of this? It doesn’t appear in the html view of the editable page. I have seen custom CSS fixes mentioned but I think I can’t access those without upgrading to Premium (if I am wrong about that, please let me know.) Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hey joannahoyt,
Please try adding the featured image to your homepage. No CSS required.

Thank you. I tried adding a featured image (first the header image, then a different image) in the page editor. I didn’t see a difference–the gray bar is still there.
