Can I remove the comment option from a static page?

  I would like to remove the option of commenting on the static home page. I would prefer they read the front page and link to the post page to comment on the blog. (instead of commenting on the home page). Can I do that?

  Hi there,

  You can disable comments on a page by going to your Dashboard > Pages > Edit Page. Ensure that the Discussion module is enabled by clicking on “Screen Options” in the upper right-hand corner of your blog.

  Then, within the Discussion module, de-select “Allow comments.”
