Can I rename the homepage?

  I do not want a page called home on my site. Can I rename it or hide it? It seems like I have tried everything, but it just does not go away.

  Is this the blog you are talking about http://joelnordstrom.wordpress.com ?

  If so, the “home” page is not really a page in the normal sense of things since it is built on the fly by the theme/wordpress software to display your posts. There is no way to rename it or to remove it from the top navigation. Whether there is a home tab or not is theme specific. The following blog post tells with themes have a home tab and which do not.
