Can I restore my website after expiration on a different plan?

    I need some clarification.

Before I used a business plan with the domain name Ducomouw.com, both the domain and plan expired.

I would like to restore my website, but I want to choose a different plan. As my purpose of use has changed. I wish to use a Personal or premium plan.

Can I still recover my old website?

I can only read about restoring a business or commerce website, and that you have to purchase one of those two plans again. Is restoring possible with cheaper plans available? (It expired on the 10th of November).

    Hi @ducomouw,

Great question! Yes, you should be able to restore your site on a different plan, but there are some important things to know:

    Site restoration:

    • Sites can typically be restored within a certain timeframe after expiration (usually up to 30 days, but this can vary)
    • You can choose a different plan when restoring
    • However, if your old site used Business plan features (like plugins or custom themes), those won’t work on Personal/Premium plans

    Your domain:

    • If ducomouw.com expired separately, you’ll need to renew it to keep using it
    • Domain renewals are separate from plan purchases

Since this involves account restoration and billing, I’m tagging this with modlook so staff can confirm the exact options available for your specific situation and help you restore your site.
