Can I retrieve a former version of a draft blog?

I had an old version of my blog on my iPhone. I wanted to refresh it with what I had just written, but I hit the “update” key instead of the “refresh” key. It erased everything I had just written. How do I get that back? Does WordPress save former versions of blogs?

Go to the post of which you accidentally erased. Edit it, and under the content, there should be a section called “Autosaves”

There may be some back ups there. Click on one of the links provided under the “Autosaves” section to view your post before it was updated.

@smorg29-if you are talking about what you’ve written in the WordPress iOS app, then please check with the iOS forum. http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/

If you wrote this online, I’d suggest the “Revisions” module in the Editor, as tennisfilmproduction mentioned. If you don’t see the module in your browser window, then make sure it is visible by clicking on the “Screen Options” tab in the upper right corner of the browser window.

    Justjennifer & Tennisfilmproduction

Thank you both so much. I did indeed find everything I could possibly want under “revisions”. However I would never have found “revisions” without knowing about “screen options”. You’ve saved me at least a day’s worth of work — not to mention the suffering I would have endured beating myself on my head for being so technologically inept.

Thanks for the good night’s sleep!!
